entering notes with a midi controller

    I used to do this all of the time, but now I can’t seem to get it to work. Any suggestions. I’m on a Mac, OS 10.14.6 Encore 5.0.5, and have a new midi guitar converter Midi Guitar 2, that works well with sounds built in to the mac. Can’t get Encore to see it, though I can hear what I’m playing. I previously used a small keyboard controller, and it worked fine.

    The last Mac version was 5.0.7 (5.0.6m on the Get Info screen) and works pretty well. There are some download sites where it can be found if you are good with a Google search.

    It works as well over Mojave as any version of Encore ever. I have not tried it with a MIDI controller, however, and have no idea if that can still be made to work.

    Does your Midi Guitar work with GarageBand? Can you see it in the Audio and MIDI configuration.app? It’s sometimes quite tricky to get it all to work…
