At current it seems with x/8 time signatures/meters coming from x/4 meters – in order to keep the audible pulse tempo constant:
– they need to be double the value of the x/4 meters…
– unless it is 3/8, 9/8 or 15/8 where it is *one-third* of double the x/4 tempo (discovered through an initial painful process of elimination, but alas…) My guess was this exception was for numerators divisible by 3 EXCEPT this does NOT apply to 6/8 or 12/8. Good grief.

This is also similar when barring x/8 to x/16 meters…same concepts at work.

So the ask is to have an option where a user can select something like “maintain pulse” where the time signatures change as described above and the program does all the math automatically.
