      Hi, I have been using Encore for many years, but Windows 11 does not support it. So I’m looking forward to Encore 6

      Zdravím, již mnoho let používám Encore, ovšem Windows 11 ho nepodporují. Těším se proto na Encore 6

        It’s quite reasonable to be looking forward to Encore 6, since Encore 5 is now quite old, and wasn’t in a so good health when it stopped being supported…

        But I haven’t seen that Windows 11 would not run 32-bit applications. Encore 504 runs in Win11, it even installs. Even Encore 455 runs in W11, but I’m not sure I ever tried to install it.

          I work under Windows7 with Encore without any problems.
          I found the following on the internet for Windows 11: Programs that depend on 16-bit binaries or 32-bit drivers cannot run on the 64-bit versions of Windows unless the program manufacturer provides an update for the program.

          You can check whether your operating system is a 32-bit or 64-bit system: Select “Start” and “Settings”. Select System . Select About . Check under “Device specifications” and “System type” whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.

            My Win11 system is a 64-bit system. That E504 and E455 run on that system is a fact.

            If I have to trust the above quote, I must suppose that they are neither depending on 16-bit binaries nor on 32-bit drivers.

              Confirm:
              Encore 5.0.4.875 runs on Win11, 64-bit system – no problems. I use it almost daily with m Win11 64-bit system.

                As far as I know, Win 11 is only 64 bit.

                  Which means that Windows 11 can only run on 64bit hardware.

                  But 32-bit applications can obviously be run.
