At current, if I am in another layer 2-8 and I add text it only shows in black and is available to edit in Layer 1. In other layers 2-8 it’s greyed out and cannot be edited

That’s weird. Not the way it’s supposed to work. For most users, the Lyric layers show text properly and Edit as they should.

I would try deleting and reinstalling.

With the graphic panel I actually don’t use the Lyric tool [L] just the Text tool [T], particularly to have more specific control of text placement.

“With the graphic panel I actually don’t use the Lyric tool [L] just the Text tool [T], particularly to have more specific control of text placement.”

Your request makes no sense. Using the Lyric tool, one is able to position words and syllables precisely by dragging horizontally with the mouse. The entire line can be repositioned vertically by dragging the arrow on the left—for each line up to 8. You can also replace, resize and restyle the lyrics for the entire document with a few clicks. If the new placement isn’t to your liking, re-drag as you like.

This is not possible with the Text tool without creating a new field for each word, a task that is cumbersome and time consuming to say the least.

Update: I am currently working on Encore 6 full time and hope to have it ready by Thanksgiving.

The lyric and text issues will be fixed.

    Thank you for your patience.
