Where do I purchase and or download Encore? It looks like the only way is to use a 3rd party download and yet I’d prefer to not include a 3rd party and purchase directly form the developer and can’t seem to find a way to do that. Thank you everyone.
Unfortunately, there is no way to purchase or download Encore 5. The Passport Music Software Team (being mainly if not only Don Williams) are working on Encore 6, which should be released quite soon, it’s been said. For now, you’ll just have to wait like the rest of us. :-/
I haven’t found any 3d-party sites which are selling Encore 5 licenses, their own reseller licenses has vanished with the stop of business of the former Passport company.
The only downloads I have found are demo versions, which cannot be activated with a license key.The only thing which is possible, is to make a download version available to people owning a license key.

I don’t think that Don has a list of earlier orders, to send a mass mail when E6 is available.
From the forum, it would require that one of us would volunteer to maintain a list (of e-mails of) interested parties. Is it worth doing?
Actually, the administrator of this forum should have a list of forum subscribers, which could be useful for a first mass mail at annopuncement. But I’m afraid the only forum administrator is Don, and it is better that he spends his time to the actual E6 development.

Macintosh or Windows?
The last version of Encore for Windows is 5.0.4. For Mac it is 5.0.7. A couple of us have the files and can send you a download link.
My dad – a composer and encore user – died in 2020 leaving no hardcopies (that we can find, at least) of his work. For posterity we’re keen to open / convert / print the .enc files we managed to extract from his old PC before it stopped working. What we lack though is a working encore.exe … Is anyone able to share an installer package, so we can try to get started?
