Why does Last Post update when there are no new comments?

      I check in here every few days. I’m puzzled that it appears by looking at the Last Post column that there are new replies in a few threads, and yet when I view the actual posts, that is not the case. How is that happening?

        The opposite is also often true.

          This date/time problem seems general with WordPress forums, and is reported since 10 years!

          A “refresh” sometimes helps.

            Thank you for the information. No, I did not know anything about WordPress forums. If that’s the problem here, I can stop browsing here as much. And I will train myself to do a Refresh immediately upon visiting.

              Refresh first does not make any difference.

                I have to refresh more often, usually three times, before I get the right results.

                  Thanks. Seriously, that’s odd. Must be a fluke from this particular forum software. I thought I was asking a stupid question; turns out to be not quite so stupid.
