    I already know people that gave up. That guy is studing Sibelius, that is the best music editor in the market.
    I think I’m gonna study too. It looks like you’ll never a new version of Encore. After knowing a lot of Sibelius, I think I’ll nrvrt come back to Encore anymore…

    You couldn’t pay me to use Sibelius (and people have tried). I have Finale since 1989 and Dorico since v. 2.

    As for me, I’ve definitely switched to Musescore, and once I’ve got over my difficulties in adapting, I’m sure I won’t go back to Encore! Even if some obvious Encore functions are missing, there are plenty of features I’ve been dreaming of with Encore!
    And before Musescore I had bought the upgrade to Overture which turned out to be a huge disappointment for me, nothing worked as I wanted, nothing was fluid, a real pain for me!!!!

    Eric,
    I have bought the Overture upgrade and so far, and once I learned how to program “Encore” short cut keys, I’ve been very happy with it. I hope that V6 for both Overture and Encore are worth the wait because I am in for the long haul.

    I dreamed a dream where I opened my iMac, went to Passport site and – tchan tchan tchan tchannnnn – there was the version 6 of Encore, ready to download.
    Then I woke up and, what a deception. I needed to work in my old iMac OS X 10.9.5, proc 2,5GHz Intel Core i5Mem 8GB 1333MHz DDR3
    I have 2 iMacs, side by side The old one is only for editing sheet music, and the other one to everything else.
    Every eday I go to Passport site to see if Encore 6 has arrived.

    Hello, Passport: Is Don alive? Why do you don’t give up and free us from this eternally wait? Be honest! You are not capable of launch Encore.
    I can’t live anymore waiting and be disappointed every day. You you betrayed me.
    I’m sorry.
