The question has been raised here, and I have answered, but the software of this forum is so poor, finding a past information is like searching a needle in a haystack.
AFAIK, there is no format/layout difference between Encore5 and MTDL4 files, the difference which lays in the file extensions is somehow cosmetic.
Don has confirmed here that E6 would handle E5 files, the MTD4 question wasn’t raised yet at that time. He comes on this forum only once in a while.Thank you, Andre. I will hold off on looking for an alternative.
I am interested in this, too. A few years ago when my OS updates rendered MusicTime Deluxe unusable, I downloaded Sibelius, but I don’t like it as much as I liked MTD and would gladly use a product related to it if that meant that all my old files could be imported into it. I have too much work done and don’t really feel like typing in things manually just to be able to continue to work on them.

Nous sommes assez nombreux ici à nous poser la même question. Et cela depuis trois ans, sans beaucoup d’avancées, si ce n’est la petite mélodie sur la page d’accueil du site en fin d’année 2024 que Don Williams avait créée avec sa version de travail et ce message (dernière mise à jour en mai 2025). Pour le reste, on ne peut que conseiller d’être patient. La version 5 reste opérationnelle, si on en dispose…
