Due to the work load we can’t answer posts. These forums are to get an idea of the current state of Encore/Master Tracks Pro and what users need.
We will be addressing these issues soon and at that time will start responding to posts.
We are reading the posts and are logging them into our list for the upcoming release.Please help! I am a VERY loyal Encore user – since the days of the program on floppy disks. How much longer do we have to wait for support/updates? My biggest problem now is: I can’t print any .enc files.
It says above that the posts are read and answered at the appropriate time. This does not seem to have come yet… 😉

Forgotten serial number??Mario 2: I am on a PC. (My MAC days are behind me.) Windows 11 Home. Encore 4.5.5 Error code: no code right now – just the dreaded blue rotating circle. I DO have the serial #. Thanks for asking.
I have Encore 5.0.4.875 Runs fine on Windows 11. But like everyone else, I’m just checking in to see if there’s any updates to “release fall of 2022” As Dr Seuss said “This is like the unicorn – it is rumoured to exist, but I doubt I will see any.”
Could we have a update not a long one just a simple status report here is an example mastertracks 30% completed that’s it it’s been a while now not a single statement.
I’m not even particularly impatient about Encore 6 knowing it’ll happen when it happens especially as I am functional for my needs with Encore 5 so what I’m writing is not out of any particular petulance. I understand people are generally impatient however when Encore 6 finally does get released, why should people believe the lack of communication will change? To be honest, I’m not sure that is something I would invest in.
Last year *somebody* at Passport made the decision to twice engage the public with general release dates that didn’t transpire and now that it is closer to a YEAR overdue Passport’s response is “leave us alone”?! This is not terribly effective outreach/communication. It’s abyssmal actually. The tragedy here is not having delay(s) but the manner in which you don’t account for them to a distinctly interested and loyal customer base, with not even as much of a formal statement to help people understand what’s happening and/or removing “Late Fall” from the home page…at this point? Not good.

“Somebody” is Don Williams. He wrote the first version of Encore a long time ago. His apps include Sonic Scores Overture. Last year, he acquired the source code, trademarks and rights to Encore with plans to release version 6. I can assure you that it was he wrote those posts.
The last paid updates to 5 were offered by the previous ownership in 2008.
Yes, Encore 6 is late but no one has been charged any money. It would be nice to see an announcement, of course.
