First, I would like to thank Don Williams and team for blessing us again and giving us hope for serious revival and upgrades for the best ever notation program. Encore is still my go to composition tool, scratch tool, lead sheet tool, etc., and now there is hope for a serious upgrade to bring it up to date! WOOHOO!
Secondly, is there a roadmap to add (VST/GM) playback template support like NotePerformer, Steinberg stuff, (maybe Passport’s own stuff in the future?)?
Sincerely,
Jack

As for NotePerformer, it would surprise me if we saw it ever. It is tightly integrated into the only three apps it supports, Sibelius, Dorico and Finale and would take a lot of development on both sides before another app can use it. The long promised version 4 from Wallander is way overdue.
February 21, 2023 at 1:59 pm #1716VoixduchoeurParticipantI’m kind of pretty frustrated. I purchased the software ENCORE in 2019. Just purchased a brand new computer and impossible to get the link for a new download. Can’t get an updated software; can’t get ENCORE 6. ANYBODY HOME ???
February 23, 2023 at 9:22 pm #1721Mike HalloranParticipantAccording to my receipts, the last paid upgrade was to 5 in 2008. We’ve all been waiting.
I’ve seen links to download Encore 5.0.4/Windows and one for 5.0.7/Mac but I have no idea if they’re active. Google is your friend. You still need to bring your own license, of course.
July 20, 2023 at 4:41 pm #1927[email protected]ParticipantMy name is Stafford Miller and I have been using ENCORE for many years. I have purchased a new Laptop and I need a new download, Windows 11. Jennifer did this for me when I bought my new desktop.

July 29, 2023 at 12:01 am #1935[email protected]ParticipantHello again. You received my request of July 20th, see above. The thought occurred to me, will Windows 11 accept ENCORE?
Thanks, Stafford MillerJuly 29, 2023 at 3:03 pm #1936Andre BaeckParticipantYes, Encore 504 runs on Windows 11. Someone else here had difficulties to start and introduce the licence code, and I gave a hint for it.
Actually my Windows 11 is an upgrade from W10, where Encore was already installed before.I didn’t locate the installation file, except that of the demo version. But I should check further on all of my backup disks (first find the inventory!)
Best preserve your installation libraries and registry settings, on your old computer. There is a method I think of which might work, but I cannot reinstall W11 from scratch to test it and loose a lot.
I could help you in trying, send me an e-mail on andre(dot)baeck(at)gmail(dot)com.July 29, 2023 at 3:05 pm #1937Andre BaeckParticipantOh, I just saw your e-mail in your previous post. I’ll try to help you tomorrow.
August 18, 2023 at 12:58 pm #1974AdminKeymasterUpdate: I am currently working on Encore 6 full time and hope to have it ready by Thanksgiving.
The initial release will not have VST, but will be implemented in the future.
Thank you for your patience.
August 18, 2023 at 1:58 pm #1982Bernard ReyParticipantOh, thank you for this heads-up! Really appreciated to have some (positive) news. It’ll keep me in the hope… 😉
August 19, 2023 at 2:20 am #1984Mario2ParticipantThis is really good news! VST is not that important right now. I never really used that in Encore 5. I am already very excited about the new Encore
