The image below is a measure of 6/8 showing the defaulted beaming for 16th note triplet “partials”; this is after I beamed by subgroup [Notes/Beams/Subgroup] with Before and After adjustment to elucidate the issues:
(1) Each grouping does not get a “3”
(2) The beams do not consistently break on the lower one for partial triplet groupings
(3) *Middle* partial triplets with a single 16th note always default with a flag pointing in the wrong direction

All of these issues I fix in a PDF editor after I print to PDF but it would be very helpful to have this taken care of in the software. And yes, with different user preferences, different instruments, different contexts…it would be great to have a way to set a custom default(?) for handling beaming.
