I have been using Encore for years at my church, and have moved on to a new laptop. However, I have limited usage because I don’t remember and didn’t record my License Code. Is there anyway to retrieve that? Here is what my computer screen says.
Encore 5.0.4.809
Copyright 2013 by Passport Music SoftwareThis program demonstrates limited functionality, until it is registered.
Enter license code and click ‘Submit’, to register and unlock full functionality.Mark Thoelke
June 16, 2026 at 2:15 pm #5155Hello Mark,
Are you on Mac or Windows? I don’t remember a 504-809 level, but 504 should mean Windows.
Did you just make a copy of your former libraries, or do you have an 809 installer? If you still have access to your former PC, you should be able to recover the license key from it.
Open Regedit, and navigate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/PASSPORT/Encore/5.0/Registration
The last entry with name “SN” and Type “REG_SZ” shows the license key in the third column (“Data” or equivalent in your language)For some Encore levels, you may need to use GVOX or PassportMusic instead of PASSPORT.
June 16, 2026 at 3:23 pm #5156Okay, thank you very much. The computer accepted the registration.
However, for a simple score for an oboe part, it printed out treble clef signs and bass clef signs where a single note should be, throughout all the measures of the score. Do you know what could be causing that?
Whenever I open Encore it asks me the following, choose from the font list below. I picked Calibri, but perhaps that is not what should be selected?
June 17, 2026 at 2:10 am #5157It might be Anastasia, but I fear you will have multiple similar requests afterwards.
What I guess you did, is simply copy the product libraries from the old system to the new one. This method lacks the proper installation of fonts.
The best method is to run an installation package on the new system. It might be any level, even a demo version.
If you haven’t any, send me a mail and I’ll send you a link to a 504 installation file, which I think is at level 875.
June 22, 2026 at 8:52 pm #5163Hello,
I find myself in much the same situation as Mark: I moved to a new laptop (Windows), and because I long ago lost or misplaced my original Encore installation materials, the best I could do was copy the folder from Program Files. I no longer have the old laptop. Unfortunately, I neglected to copy the Anastasia font from its Fonts folder. Is there any way to obtain a copy of the Anastasia font, or at least an installation file that would install it? My version of Encore is version 4.5, so it would need to be compatible with that.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
June 23, 2026 at 4:31 am #5164It”s a bit more difficult with Encore 4.5.5 than with Encore 5.
The fonts can be installed from the demo install.
I have some installation files, please send me a mail and I can send you a link, with some advise. -
