Hi:
I too like very much the Master Tracks Pro BUT – for MANY YEARS, I was able to try out ONLY the AVAILABLE DEMO-Version – so my MAJOR QUESTION IS:
– DOES ANYONE KNOW from the DEDICATED USERS OF Master Tracks Pro – WHEN the Non-DEMO VERSION of MTP WILL BE FINALLY AVAILABLE FOR SALE – EVEN ONLY THE VERSION 6.01 for live performance …?!?January 19, 2025 at 6:23 am #3846Don wrote to me last year that MTP should be ready in 2025 and that it was a special concern of his.
So far, everything is waiting for the new Encore. Let’s see if there’s enough time for MTP this year.
In the meantime, I’m still using version 6.01 to create and arrange MIDI files. But now I have an i-Pad with the Songbook+ software that plays my MIDI files for “live” use. It works great and I no longer have to take my old Win98 computer with me.
January 19, 2025 at 9:41 am #3847As far as I understand (I don’t use MasterTracks) the “current” (but old”) version is numbered 6.
While the distribution file of Encore 5 was either a demo version (available at several places), or a production version which requires a serial number, for MasterTracks there was only a single version, which runs in demo mode till one enters the serial number.
Therefore, I’m surprized that you could not enter your serial number to activate the version you have. This should be possible on the “about” panel. If that would not be true, perhaps one of the current MTP6 users still has the installation file, and could share it with you.
January 19, 2025 at 11:39 am #3848Version 6.8.4 is the latest version of Master Tracks Pro. The “most stable” is 6.0.1.
If thorsak need an MTP installation file (version 6.01), please send me an e-mail at: hofmann(dot)mario(at)arcor(dot)deJanuary 20, 2025 at 8:48 pm #3850I can confirm that an update to MTP is on Don’s list. Encore 6 is the top priority, however, followed by an update of Overture 5.
Overture 5 includes MTP functionality but does not open the older files. It may happen that a future Overture update will be able to do this.
