      Thank you to all who responded. I was unable to resolve the problem but urgency means that I am now using a different
      composition programme.

          Hi Mario2,

          I’m using Windows10 Home Edition from 2021.

          To Anastasia’s point about reinstalling where would I get the installation exe? If I reinstall doesn’t the process fail because Passport is no longer able to register a new installation?

          I’ve just tried to open a blank staff saved to pdf. There error message is ‘[…] it is either not a supported file type or […] the file has been damaged …]’

          That was using Adobe, which is happily opening pdfs from other programs.

            I have a MTD printing question, please.

            I have been a user for decades and I am, effectively, a professional musician. Recently, MTD has stopped sending print data to my printer. The right number of pages spew out but they are blank. When I save a file as a pdf to use a pdf editor to print the resulting pdf is unreadable. I have tried different pdf editors and none will read the pdf file. The files appear to ‘save’ okay as far as MTD is concerned but, clearly, they do not.

            This is a huge problem for me. Not only do I have decades of compositions/arrangements that I can now only print from screen shots but, like many, I have tried other music composition programs such as Harmony Assistant and Sibelius but always defaulted to MTD as the best and simplest.

            Any ideas, folk?
