      Mike – thank you SO MUCH for your clear explanations of my problems with Encore and your solutions. Today (2//1/25) I upgrade my O.S. on my old “Encore” computer to Mohave 10.14.6. I was running Encore 5.07 (build 5.0.6 1303m) so it worked exactly as said. I only did this now because I was in the middle of a long work that had to be finished by a certain date and, given my previous experience, I was afraid something would go wrong and I wouldn’t be able to open my files. But it worked perfectly and until the new version of Encore is released, I can carry on with my writing on my old computer without fear of frequent crashes and font changes. Thanks for your help; this situation has been driving me crazy for several years. Best, S. Reeves

        Mike – Thanks so much for this great reply. I’ve been dealing with this issue for years and it was extremely frustrating. I assumed it was an Encore problem, but I see it is a Mac problem. I have a 2017 Macbook Air running High Sierra 10.13.6, with 8 GB of memory. It would be great to get the dropbox link.
