I have a new computer and need to load Encore on it with the latest version.
I have the CD that came with my original order but I was sent a link to
get the latest updates the last time I got a new computer on 7-12-2014.
I can’t find the link now. What can I do to get the installation done
    correctly?

I’m a little confused about the version you specified. The last revision for Windows computers was 5.0.4.875.
Version 5.0.4.858 is a demo version that cannot be activated with a license key.
What version is the installation from your CD?
Maybe this thread could you help further:

Cannot use Encore 5.0.4 reinstalled under Windows 11

I couldn’t tell if there was, or was’t, a production version called 858. It could have been in the form of an update.

Anyway, 875 is more recent (or better, less old).

I had this version and got it from a tech at gvox. It worked as well as the original version. I had a button that looked like a note and that would smooth the playing along with the Align playback choice ctrl + Alt +J
I tried to install 5.0.4 on my new computer, but can’t find the update that made all that work. I have lost a lot of features that came with the update.
Does anyone know how to get that update?

    Hello Robert,

If your old computer isn’t dead, but just old, you should be able to copy the Encore product folder (in c:/Program Files) to the new one via an external medium. Or find that folder on a backup.

Such a copy should work, since you already went through the standard installation process with 875.
