Now that Apple will make my 2018 Mac Mini unsupported with Tahoe, I’ll be needing to upgrade to a Silicon Mac in the next couple years. That will make quickly booting into Mojave no longer an option for Encore 5. Of course, I can keep the 2018 or an older laptop handy for use, but having to use 2 machines to do the work of one will not be convenient!
So, in any case, it will be necessary to learn a new notation software. I see no reason not to have that be Encore 6 which will open Encore 5 files. Yes, I’ve learned to work around the various quirks of Encore 5, and there will be a learning curve with Encore 6. But, I see no reason to go to another product when I”ve been using “Encore” since the ’90s!
Don, keep fighting the good fight! I’m looking forward to the release of Encore 6.
This is very exciting news! I keep booting into Mojave just to use Encore 5. It will be nice not to have to keep rebooting. Maybe I’ll even be able to finally retire that Mojave partition!

Thanks for the insights into scanning music. I’m not familiar with MusicXML but, it guess, it’s high time I became familiar.
I agree with improving the grace note feature.
Along those lines, it would be splendid to have a flam option for percussion music. I’ve found it a struggle to create and edit music with flams.
I too maintain a volume with Mojave just to run Encore (and a couple other 32bit apps). I can live without the other apps but not without Encore!
It would be nice if the extracted parts came out close to being ready to print.
