Have I been under a rock? I was a beta user for years, helping improve Encore & it’s back??? 64-bit? Really? Nope. I must be dreaming.

December 18, 2024 at 3:37 pm #3702I am happy to be a beta tester too.
I was just about to buy a new old 2015 MacBook Pro since mine is faltering & I only use it for Encore 32-bit on Mojave. THANK GOD I found this! I will happily pay to use & beta test any new version you have as I have thousands of files to update.

December 20, 2024 at 12:53 pm #3717and sure, the return of Master Tracks Pro is…. “the next big thing” 😉
( and if for 64 bit including Intel and M1 chips, it’s even better )
December 21, 2024 at 2:55 pm #3720Can’t wait!
I was a hemidemisemiquaver away from trying to figure out how to do a conversion and migration to another product.
I was beginning to read about Dorico and Finale and MusicXML files when I HAPPENED to come across a google reference to Encore 6!
You really should be emailing all Encore/Passport/GVOX customers to let them know that there is hope on the horizon!also,
The logon to Passport did not recognize my Encore customer userid at all. I went and re-registered for access.
How can I get my purchase records and history into this new account? Or should I be trying to contact someone about getting access to my old account? Thanks,
Ed
December 21, 2024 at 10:53 pm #3721Thanks for the advice, but there will not be any upgrade price.
There will be one fixed low price for the first release, as there are way too many other problems to Solve.
Encore 6 will be a major upgrade considering the state it was left in.
I am thinking $129-$149 for the price and maybe if I am in a good mood, a sale price for the first 30 days.
This is I believe very reasonable for the product you will be getting. There is no access to the old accounts. The servers handling this no longer are accessible.
December 22, 2024 at 7:14 am #3722Dear Don,
It sounds very exiting, as I already told, I’m a user from the floppy-time, and I’m using Encore 5 still on an old Mac G5.
Of course the price is not a issue for a wonderful program.
Can you tell us when we can place our order? For download, I expect.
Please stay in a good mood and Merry X-mas!Adriaan Dropsie
December 22, 2024 at 2:36 pm #3724I look forward to it. Merry Christmas!
December 22, 2024 at 4:37 pm #3726A very fair price Don.
December 26, 2024 at 11:12 pm #3737Agree, I think the price is fair, too. But I worrying about the PC spec and OS to run the new Encore. I want to know the ‘system requirements’ and the release date.

December 29, 2024 at 4:26 am #3744Hi Don, is there any chance that Encore will open Overture files directly or will it be necessary to use the MusicXml format?
I take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New YearDecember 31, 2024 at 11:26 pm #3755is there any chance that Encore will open Overture files directly or will it be necessary to use the MusicXml format?
Don and I have been discussing the logistics for the upcoming Encore 6 release and this question came up. Overture has more functionality than Encore. There are plans for an Overture update that will open Encore files but Encore 6 will be released first.
Encore 6 is coming along and I’m getting excited. When he asked what app I use for quick choral, praise band, lead sheets and Christmas charts, I answered that I open my 2012 MacBook Pro and do them in Encore 5.
January 1, 2025 at 2:59 pm #3772Please put me on the beta tester list as well.
Thanks. -
