      i had encore 5 on my old laptop. when it stopped charging, i got a new laptop. installed encore and it asked for a license key. i have looked everywhere for it and cannot find it. 🙁 i have been having to learn musescore, and i miss encore. i also have a lot of old files that i can’t open any more. would love to be able to use encore again.

        Well, it will depend on how broken is your old laptop.
        If it still works when connected to power, and no longer on batteries, you can get access to your license key within the registry (in Windows) and most probably what is equivalent on a mac.

        What is your operating system?

            it doesn’t work when connected to power either. it’s windows. i’m going to try to get a replacement battery and see if i can start it up again and get the license key off of it while the battery has life.

              Looking forward to it — as a long time Encore user, who has tried to migrate to Finale and Dorico, I still prefer Encore on my old G4!

                Maybe we can celebrate J. S. Bach’s birthday and mine at the same time as Encore 6 is released

                  Happy birthday, Mario!

                  However, JSB’s anniversary was 10 days ago, he was born at the spring equinox, although in a place where the julian calendar was still active. But the calendar change dit not change former days.
