I’m very interested in hearing about Encore 6. I have Encore 4. My old HP laptop died on me. I was able to retrieve all my files on that computer. HAve since bought a new Windows-based HP computer. Tried to install Encore 4 but it wouldn’t take it. I’ve got files all the way back to the first iteration of Encore, so am wanting to be able to bring those old files back up. Thanks so much!

I have a 2014 Mac Mini on Server mode (no monitor attached with an HDMI HD dongle … connected via Ethernet) where I screenshare to access all of my precious Encore Scores.
However, when Encore 6 is released, I will more than likely NOT “re-open” or export my Encore Scores, but rather just re-do them from scratch as I will need to develop the muscle memory and get my brain into the workflow of a new App/Program, which is always better for the ol’ noggin in a world of google/wiki/microwave instance gratification. Patience people.
I am surprised to hear of this problem, as not too long ago I bought a new windows 11 based HP laptop and was able to install my venerable Encore 4.5.5 with no problems and use it regularly today. Of course this does not mean it doesn’t have a couple new bugs (to deal with which I still have it running on my old windows 8 computer as well).
Perhaps you have an earlier version on Encore 4?Indeed, Encore 455 works generally well on Windows 10/11, similarly as on the former versions.

I don’t know what the problem of “safmusic” is, since he didn’t reply to my offer/request to contact me offline; but this forum has been down for a couple of weeks in the meantime.I assisted a few people with installation problems on 455, generally the issue was that they had lost their installation file and/or their serial number. While I can help with the former, the latter cannot be recovered from a former installation – or at least I don’t know how to do.
There is a recovery method which has often worked, which I can help with on request.
Where did you hear or read Encore would be released Fall 2028…???
The only place where this date has been written is this append from G. Delanghe.
Let’s say that it is an hypothesis, or a bet.
From news written recently by Mike Halloran, betting on Fall 2026 isn’t realistic.Yes, I did write fall 2028. To be more exact, Encore 6.0 won’t be released until after the WNBA can figure out what a woman is. Translation: not in the foreseeable future.

I’m just glad the forum is back. This website was down when I last tried to sign in a week or so ago, & I was certain it was just ALL OVER.
Still – 2028? Sounds like 2 more years of unfounded stringing along & torture. We’ve offered money & other incentives. NO RESPONSE from the creator. I don’t believe anything. PROVE ME WRONG.
To GROSS MUSIC: I don’t know if you are a programmer.. and I don’t know Don Williams personally … Don Williams has created some really – what we in the computer science world call- “elegant” applications. He should be spoken about in an admiring and positive way. If you read early messages you might have a better understanding: he works a full-time job and has been doing these updates to Encore and MTP in his spare time. Maybe there’s something to be said for “don’t make promises you can’t keep” related to some earlier estimations he made about when he hoped to be done, but I do not think it’s right to admonish him for that…
I guess part of me fears that Don might read something like you and others have written about the wait time and how frustrating that feels – and I fear he might get pissed off and just stop. I doubt it… but still worries me. Positivity rocks! The time will come – one day – when these updates are released!!
