You should read the “About Us” page of the site. You’ll understand that the future Encore 6 will be kind of built from scratch, nearly nothing having been transferred from the previous owners of the brand. We’re all hoping for a release of Encore 6, but only Don Williams knows when that will be (if he does). As to the price, well, we’ll see…
Keep your fingers crossed!The “most recent” version of macOS that will run Encore 5 is Mojave (macOS 10.14.6). Encore 5 runs quite fine in such a case (I’m still having and old Mac mini running just for that purpose next to my Mac Studio). But as to Word and Excel, you can’t run a version higher than 16.54 (issued octobre 2021) which can be activated with a Microsoft 365 licence, an Office 2021 or an Office 2019 licence.
Running a virtual system can be an option, but the recent Macs with a Silicon processor won’t be able to run Mojave, even in a virtual machine. So, it’s a difficult compromise ahead. Think that if (if!) Encore 6 is out next month (but who knows?), things will be quite different.
Unfortunately, there is no way to purchase or download Encore 5. The Passport Music Software Team (being mainly if not only Don Williams) are working on Encore 6, which should be released quite soon, it’s been said. For now, you’ll just have to wait like the rest of us. :-/

Encore, if correctly updated, runs quite fine on Mojave as far as I have seen for several years now (and I keep a 2012 Mac mini alive next to my M2 Mac Studio just for Encore).
Don Williams promised a peek at version 6 of Encore “by Thanksgiving” and we all hope this time it will happen. But if you can’t wait, you may check out with André Baeck to see if you have the “most recent” update for Encore 5. See that thread.
What do you mean by “no way to do authorization” ? Encore (version 5.0.7.8M) runs on my Mac (Mojave 10.14.6) and I can freely save (new and existing files) and print (paper or PDF)…
Encore 5 does run on Mojave (macOS 10.14)! It is the one and only reason why I keep an ancient (2012) Mac Mini next to my Mac Studio. The later versions (Catalina 10.15 and higher) won’t let you run Encore.
Well, which type of computer are you running (Mac, Windows,…) ? What “passport” do you have to enter (application, system,…) ?
For what I can remember, you simply copy the Encore files to another Mac, the additional fonts being included inside the application. The latest version of macOS you can have to run Encore 5.0.7 is Mojave, in case you don’t already know.
How “old” is that earlier Mac? Which system version is it running? Encore 5.0.7 was out in 2014, Mac OS X 10.10 Mavericks was the system by then.
Another option is to run Mojave in a virtual Machine, or to install Mojave on a dedicated external disk on which you can launch your Mac when needed…
