You should try version 4, on Mac it’s not bad at all.
iMaurizioParticipantEntering (or re-entering) the music notation software market today is, I believe, an arduous undertaking with an uncertain outcome in the medium-long term from a business point of view.
Here it is not simply a question of converting Encore 5 into 64-bit software compatible with today’s operating systems, but of rewriting a program adapting it to current needs and standards.
Any notation software that costs more than $149 today must be intuitive, fast, equipped with automation that simplifies the work.
If it does not have these characteristics it will struggle to remain in a market segment that offers various free and paid alternatives.iMaurizioParticipant“”When you make an extract part, leave the option compressed rests out. “”
Yes, I generally acted this way too. By the way, even when there was some unexpected behavior, the decompression and subsequent re-compression of the empty bars normalized the situation. I must say that on MacOS Mojave the program was/is particularly stable.
iMaurizioParticipantYes, I remember that the compressed rests function did not always work correctly, but by accepting those imperfections it was generally possible to achieve the desired result 😉
iMaurizioParticipantI used it very rarely, but I remember that Encore 5.x has a sort of VST host that allows to open virtual instruments of third parties and assign them to the staffs. Did you ever try it ?
iMaurizioParticipantSo, when does winter officially start in the USA?
iMaurizioParticipantWhile you wait for the .dmg file, keep in mind that if you clone your current startup disk to an external disk, you won’t need to do a fresh install of Encore.
iMaurizioParticipantIn fact, a fundraiser could work and also involve other users, but at that point the release of a new version would become an obligation to be respected by the software house, and I’m not sure Passport Music Software wants to have this yoke around its neck.
iMaurizioParticipantVì vậy, bạn sẽ phải chờ đợi và hy vọng như chúng tôi.

iMaurizioParticipantWhat version of Encore are you trying to open that file with?
iMaurizioParticipantI don’t think anyone can deal with giving you this communication, it is better that you visit this site once every week until the pleasant surprise arrives.
iMaurizioParticipantNo. If you read the NOTE on the main page it says:
“At this time there are no products being sold or none to be downloaded.
This will only occur when Encore 6 is released.”iMaurizioParticipantReading this thread
http://sonicscores.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=22497&start=15it seems that Overture hasn’t received updates for a long time either.
iMaurizioParticipantThat’s exactly what I’m doing at the moment.
Version 4 on Mac works quite well, the problem is that an xml file exported from Encore by Musescore 3 and 4 is mostly seen as a corrupted file, and even if it manages to open it without crashing there are strange structure and pagination errors. -
