ParticipantThat makes sense, because of the time away from Encore. Thanks.

ParticipantI’m confused. If the same person is developing Overture and now (again) Encore, and updates are being programmed for both, how would the two programs be different? Why market two?
riojazz
ParticipantI don’t know about Macs, but on a Windows machine, even if copying the Encore folder worked, you would still need to install the special Encore fonts to be able to see the notation.

ParticipantThat’s not the sentence I’m watching; it’s the Winter 2023 that I hope gets revised now that it is past.
I went from being a beta tester for Encore to converting all my scores to Presonus Notion 6 for Desktop. Now, I’m a beta tester for them. Their issue is that all the attention is going to Studio One and to the mobile version of Notion. I hope they will finally release a Notion 7 sometime.

ParticipantI don’t actually care what it costs if
1) it doesn’t crash all the time and
2) it exports existing Encore files as Music XML properlyriojazz
ParticipantCould there be a release before a call for beta tester candidates?

ParticipantThanks. Seriously, that’s odd. Must be a fluke from this particular forum software. I thought I was asking a stupid question; turns out to be not quite so stupid.

ParticipantI do not. Around the same time, I had software named Amadeus that did a similar function.

ParticipantRefresh first does not make any difference.

ParticipantI’m assuming winter of ’24 is the new target. The winter of ’23 was last winter.

ParticipantThank you for the information. No, I did not know anything about WordPress forums. If that’s the problem here, I can stop browsing here as much. And I will train myself to do a Refresh immediately upon visiting.

ParticipantWell, the website said “Fall 2022” for almost a year, then changed to “Thanksgiving 2023” but now it says “Winter 2023”. I wonder, from the point of view of someone in Florida, whether that means before this coming January 1, 2024, or sometime in the winter that begins in December 2023. Whichever it is, I wish the developer great success and I’m sure it will be worth the wait.

ParticipantGiven this recent notice:
Update
Thank you for your patience: I am currently working on Encore 6 full time and hope to have it ready by Thanksgiving.Wouldn’t it be a good idea to take a moment and update the website from ‘Fall 2022’ to ‘Late Fall 2023’?
