Thank you for the update, and best of success.
September 14, 2024 at 8:05 pm in reply to: If you moved on from Encore, what are you now using? #3449riojazzParticipantI couldn’t stay with Encore – it crashed too much. I converted to Notion 6 for Desktop by Presonus.
riojazzParticipantThat makes sense, because of the time away from Encore. Thanks.
riojazzParticipantI’m confused. If the same person is developing Overture and now (again) Encore, and updates are being programmed for both, how would the two programs be different? Why market two?
riojazzParticipantI don’t know about Macs, but on a Windows machine, even if copying the Encore folder worked, you would still need to install the special Encore fonts to be able to see the notation.
riojazzParticipantMine is 5.0.3.789
riojazzParticipant+1
riojazzParticipantThat’s not the sentence I’m watching; it’s the Winter 2023 that I hope gets revised now that it is past.
I went from being a beta tester for Encore to converting all my scores to Presonus Notion 6 for Desktop. Now, I’m a beta tester for them. Their issue is that all the attention is going to Studio One and to the mobile version of Notion. I hope they will finally release a Notion 7 sometime.
riojazzParticipantI don’t actually care what it costs if
1) it doesn’t crash all the time and
2) it exports existing Encore files as Music XML properlyriojazzParticipantCould there be a release before a call for beta tester candidates?
November 22, 2023 at 11:00 am in reply to: Why does Last Post update when there are no new comments? #3207riojazzParticipantThanks. Seriously, that’s odd. Must be a fluke from this particular forum software. I thought I was asking a stupid question; turns out to be not quite so stupid.
riojazzParticipantI do not. Around the same time, I had software named Amadeus that did a similar function.
November 18, 2023 at 3:55 pm in reply to: Why does Last Post update when there are no new comments? #3204riojazzParticipantRefresh first does not make any difference.
riojazzParticipantI’m assuming winter of ’24 is the new target. The winter of ’23 was last winter.

No, I did not know anything about WordPress forums. If that’s the problem here, I can stop browsing here as much. And I will train myself to do a Refresh immediately upon visiting.
