As a guitar player, I support Milan’s suggestion. It would also be a great feature if the best positioning on the fretboard was suggested as it was with the “OptiFingering” add-on in Encore 5.
Alternatively, there should be the possibility to choose the best position from several suggestions.February 8, 2023 at 2:05 pm in reply to: Zusammenführen mehrerer Encore Dateien in einer Datei #1684I create medleys with data from Encore via MasterTracksPro by saving the scores from Encore as MasterTracksPro data using the export function.
In Master TracksPro you can then compile the data as you want. There are several sites on the Internet where you can download MTP 6.8.4 for free. However, I am afraid that these are demo versions that do not allow printing or saving.
I think I’ve paid $59 for the upgrade at the time.- This reply was modified 1 year, 11 months ago by Mario2.
January 4, 2023 at 3:44 am in reply to: MuseScore just upped the ante with version 4.0 release this month #1607I had also tried MuseScore up to version 2.0 in the past. At first glance, it seemed very clear and easy to use. However, when I started to use MuseScore more intensively, I found it more difficult and complicated to achieve reasonable results in a reasonable amount of time. The lyrics input was complicated and a reasonable tab display was impossible.
How MuseScore behaves in version 4 I can not judge, because I deleted MuseScore from my computer.I think that due to the holidays, not much work was done from December 21, so the release of Encore will most likely be delayed until January 2023.
Besides, Encore users are a very long-suffering people as far as waiting times are concerned 😉I could open my files created with MTP 6.0.1 without problems with the last version 6.8.4.
Let’s be surprised. But I think this will work the same with the new version of MTP.I think Encore 6 will be available in January.
For now, it’s Christmas and then it’s also New Year. The release will be delayed a bit.
I hope it won’t be delayed for years…Merry Christmas everyone!
For now, it’s Christmas. In my opinion, not much will happen there.
I think Encore 6 will be released in January 2023.
Merry Christmas to all Encore users and of course to the Passport team!
snball60,
As Mike has already explained, this depends on the operating system.
With Windows you have to use third party providers. A printer driver is then installed for PDF printing.
I had also tried several PDF printer drivers until the results were ok.For now it’s Christmas.
I think Encore will be released early next year.By the way, I just finished a new score with Encore 5.0.4.875. 😉
I love this fast and uncomplicated input of lyrics in Encore and hope that it will be as easy with Encore 6.Good music scanning programs are not cheap but a good thing if you have printed sheet music only.
This is also the reason why I keep an old 486 computer with Windows 3.11 alive. It still runs the old Musitek music recognition software Midiscan V 2.5.1 to my satisfaction. An old flatbed scanner with interface card completes the setup.
Nevertheless, an up-to-date music XML protocol is a very good idea.Hi Marilyn,
I’m afraid that Encore 5 will no longer be offered.
There may still be offers on the internet to download it for free.
Whether this software can then be unlocked by key, I do not know.
Otherwise you will be wait for Encore 6.What computer are we talking about? Windows or Apple?
As I understand you, the demo version of Encore is running on your new computer. Do you have your license key? Did you not back up the software and license key?
I burned the software and key to a CD in case the computer died.
If you didn’t back up anything, I guess you’ll have to wait for Encore 6.
Encore 5 is no longer available for purchase or download.I was able to open and edit all MusicTime 2.0 files in Encore 5.0.4.875.
So it should also be possible to read “old” Encore files in the new software.
As Mike said: We hope.Nicole,
I started with MusicTime 2.0 in the 90s and switched to Encore in 2014. I was able to open and edit all MusicTime files in Encore.
Encore offers more possibilities than MusicTime.
The interface is the same for both programs. Should work with your hardware. -
